Salutations! It's been awhile. I guess it's about time that I post something. My good buddy Ryan said that he's getting tired of clicking on my blog and seeing those nostrils. And so here's a piece that I've been fighting with. I'm still trying to comprehend "painting".
Here's the oringnal sketch (my first sketch in Painter):
I feel like it lost something. Let me know what you think. Don't be afraid to rip me a new one.

Impressive work - it's great to see this caliber of work... can't wait to see more
Goddamn, good stuff man! It's good to see you posting again!
I do prefer the pushed pose in the drawing a bit more. You did a good job w the paint-up.
Great to see you posting again!
great stuff both! i prefer the first pose better! ;)
But who could have foreseen such an attention as this?

Super picture !!
The first drawing is definitely more dynamic...it's a nicer pose really. I think a lot of it has to do with the head position...the first one was much lower...which helped push it forward.
I think they are both great, but like everyone else, I think I prefer the sketch :)
I think they are both great, in the first drawing the head is lower and you see the full sword. Also the swords angle and position are different.
