Today's my Burfday. And what's the fist thing I do? Post up a sketch! Does anyone else feel the ever-looming pressure of the age 30? Like when you were young... did you dream by the time you reached 25, you would've gotten your superpowers and would've saved the world a few times already?
Haha, well here's a sketch with a theme I'm tossing around: Chicks with bad-ass monsters. Hopefully I'll get to drawing more on this theme on our tuesday night draw nights. Painted version will come soon. (Maybe not too soon...)

It's your birthday? I am popping out of a cake.
Awesome dude! Good solution for watermarks, and is that ... a paper texture?! dun dun dunnnnnn.
Jon!! Happy birthday! And looks like you've been following through with your new year's resolution. Looks awesome! You know there's a saying that when you've drawn a million monsters, they will all come to life and save the world......
Really nice I like it
Good blogÂȘ!!!
sweeeeet. I stared at that head and arm for a while. More on this subject please. And before you are 31.
AwESOME creature!
Wow, I just followed a link here from Alan Tew's blog. At 29 you're doing a helluva lot more than me! I'm a year younger, a graduate from UCSD wishing I could study at CalArts and go on to bigger and better things.
great sketch! and happy belated birthday!
No birthday present for you until you post again.
beautiful drawing. and Happy birthday (probably way late by now). Do you have a sketchbook for sale?
Thanks everyone for stopping by, and the birthday wishes.
Carmen:I think I might need some help with those million monsters.
Mark: Haha, I'm not promising anything.
Marco: I don't, but I'd love to have a sketchbook for sale... if anyone would buy it!

Michelle?! Hey! Thanks for letting me know that you dropped by. I do believe you were my first "drawing buddy". Long way since crayons, huh? Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'm set on making this last year of my twenties, really count!
Nice shapes. I really love the movement and balance in your drawings. I'm working on incorporating some of it myself. If you get the chance drop by my blog gettingfancywiththespices.blogspot.com. I keep up to date with everything you post and look at it often. Your command of appeal is really humbling!
